West Ham and Everton eye Samuele Mulattieri

Subhankar Mondal

West Ham United and Everton reportedly want Samuele Mulattieri of Spezia.

West Ham United and Everton are among the clubs interested in signing Spezia attacker Samuele Mulattieri in the summer transfer window, according to a report in Calciomercato.com.

Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus are also claimed to be interested in the 17-year-old talented and promising attacker.

Tough for West Ham United and Everton

Inter and Juventus are two of the biggest clubs in Italy and are bigger than West Ham or Everton.

Given that Mulattieri is only 17 years of age, the Italian may not be willing to leave his home country and move to England this summer.

After all, the youngster would progress much better if he plays for the Inter or the Juventus youth teams.

Free transfer

According to Football.London, West Ham and Everton could actually sign Mulattieri on a free transfer.

It has been reported that the 17-year-old has yet to sign a professional contract with Spezia, meaning that the Premier League duo only need to pay the Italian side a compensation fee.

West Ham interested in shock Dimitri Payet reunion - if French ace lowers wage demands

The French star left the Hammers in acrimonious circumstances 18 months ago

By Darren Lewis

West Ham are interested in a shock reunion with Dimitri Payet - less than two years after he walked out on them mid-season.

The 31-year-old has been offered to the Irons with boss Manuel Pellegrini keen as he was not at the club when Payet left in January last year.

The sticking point is understood to be cash with Payet asking for wages that the Hammers - close to a deal for free agent Jack Wilshere - are not prepared to pay.

West Ham’s board are wary of moves for both players but are prepared to back Pellegrini.

Payet arrived in east London in the summer of 2015 for a bargain £10.7million from French club Marseille.

He went on to inspire the club to a top-four challenge that season - and to force his way to the French national squad for Euro2016.

West Ham eventually ended the 2015-16 campaign seventh in the Premier League table, qualifying for the Europa League.

Just months later, however, Payet - who had been handed a lucrative five-year deal in February 2016 - demanded to leave with the club fighting relegation.

The Hammers board dug their heels in to demand he at least stay for the remainder of the season.

But Bilic was forced to admit Payet had refused to play after a bid from Marseille had been rejected.

Bilic said at the time: “We have said we don't want to sell our best players but Dimitri Payet does not want to play for us.

"I have a team to manage. He's probably been tapped up. Until he changes his attitude and shows the commitment the club have shown him, he is out of the team.”

Payet, however, stood his ground and eventually forced the Marseille move.

To make it worse for Hammers fans, his performances remaining at a high level in France.

He helped Marseille into last season’s Europa League Final and would have been included in the France squad for the World Cup had it not been for a hamstring injury picked up in that match.

West Ham target Yarmolenko as negotiations for Felipe Anderson stall

The negotiations between West Ham and Lazio for Felipe Anderson have risked to stop a few times but never did before now, as it got complicated again. David Sullivan, West Ham owner, has in fact decided to pursue Andriy Yarmolenko, Borussia Dortmund's winger. The offer has already been made on a €20m basis and there should be new developments in the coming hours to know what Felipe Anderson's future will be made of.
